Yes. When you purchase a new license rather than renewing your existing one, the app on the target device is not linked to the new license automatically. You must reinstall the app on the target device. Renewal of an existing license allows the app to continue running without reinstallation, provided the renewal is completed within 30 days of expiry. After 30 days, the app is automatically removed and reinstallation is required regardless.
